From museums, melanism, and MC1R to mules, mud, and the middle Marañón valley, this is my personal website where I share about my research and academic activities. I'm a postdoc with Scott Edwards in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. My primary research interests lie at the intersection of evolutionary biology and ornithology. Broadly, my research could be described as holistic avian natural history as I study bird genomics, systematics, biogeography, ecology, physiology, and coloration. I am an active contributor to natural history collections and my research integrates data from museum specimens as well as a wide variety of data collected through field and lab work.
